Snow Bird

Well, we have one to two inches of snow forcasted for overnight.

Every one is looking forward to it - especially the kids. People are making runs to Kroger and Publix for extra milk and eggs. The department of transportation has been out putting brine on the roads. I heard that in this area, of 23 counties they have 26 snow ploughs. Schools will probaby be cancelled, people are already notifying their work places that they probably will not be in tomorrow.

We just giggle and pray there is no ice storm. One or two inches of snow I think we can handle.

Speaking of snow, Grandpa is up in Hamilton and travelling with Rich to Kitchener to see H and H and Christine ski this evening. Then he is taking them all out for dinner. He took his snow boots with him.

It will be fun to see Mercy play in the snow, at least she won't get buried in it.

Flood

Yes, we have to check today if we have flood insurance. Can you believe it?

There are two dams, one Kentucky and one in Tennessee that are both leaking. The news has reports every other day that people need to check on their insurance, have supplies ready to evacuate, etc.

We think we are high enough up and a ways from the river but being new to this type of thing Grandpa is checking today. We have talked through our evacuation plan.

Have I told you how much I love our new computer! It is so fast, I can read the screen so clearly. Ya-Ya has our old computer on the other side of the Bonus room from me, so we can both be on our computers at the same time. Awe technology! She can fill her computer up with all her drawings and movies. I can fill mine up with e-mails.

Let me see if we have to evacuate, do I bring Mercy or the computer? Just kidding!

Love to all,
Grandma

Here we go again

I still do not have this blogging figured out but apparently someone else had my most recent blog title.

Please use this new new one:

A few updates from this past 10 days.

Mercy had her "surgery". She got along so well. She goes on Tuesday to get the stitches removed. It only slowed her down for a couple of hours. We have attended our first puppy training class. We learned to not use her name when we say "no", or anything negative to discipline her. She did a cute thing, depending on how you look at it and if you are a dog lover, yesterday she jumped up and pulled the tea bag out of my cup.

Ya-Ya got her new braces last week and she is adjusting ok. She is afraid to eat much incase food gets stuck to her braces. She will need to relax over this, as she needs to keep her nutrition up. She is doing well, brushing and flossing.

Sorry about this new change, I hope it works.
