Winning Ways

The Bison football team continued their winning ways into the playoff season. They beat Meigs County 51 to 12 on Friday night. This week we play our "thorn in the flesh" Pearl Cohn High School on our home field. The team will have to be mentally prepared for this huge challenge.

Ya-Ya's Thundering Herd band will continue to perform as long the football team continues to be in the playoffs. The State finals are December 8th, if we make it all the way!!

The Herd is now getting ready for their Christmas concert. Ya-Ya enjoys the Concert season, but her great love is marching season. On Saturday she joined The Herd in the Veteran's day parade here in town. A policeman saw our Canadian Flag canvas chairs and asked if we were really Canadian. I assured him we were and said that we were out honouring American veterans. He was very surprised and pleased. I didn't tell him how weird it feels. This nation's young have given so much throughout their history. God Bless America's Youth.

Thinking of you,
Grandma

November 2007: 4th Visitors

Our last visitors for this Fall season left today. It was a great month. We so appreciate those who make the trip to visit with us.

The highlight for all have been seeing Cecelia play her alto sax in the school's Thundering Herd Band at the Friday Night Lights football games. We also enjoyed hockey games, shopping, the Opry, church, shopping, the Grand Old Opry Hall of Fame and Museum, Civil War sites and did I say shopping!

Today Cecelia ran outside when she heard the Ice Cream truck in our subdivision and bought for herself a Drumstick, November 4th!! Ah, only in Tennessee.

Thanks again. See you all soon. Come on down.
Love
Grandma
