Hancock House

Last night Grandpa and I attended a Vision Dinner for our church at the Hancock Bed and Breakfast House. What a beautifully restored old log house. The meal was outstanding topped off with out of this world Southern Pecan Pie, like I have never tasted before!

We had a delightful dinner with new friends from our church and another couple we had never really connected with before. Afterwards we all moved into a dark panelled with original wood slabs room for the pastor's vision statement and a look at the drawings for the church building.

Our young pastor has been given a new vision for our church which included building churches in Europe and doing missions in the Sudan. His has a renewed continued vision to help the needy in our town, which he has recently been given an insight into, children in elementary school stealing snacks from back packs because of their hunger. A local ministry is sending home with many of these children weekend backpacks full of food for themselves and their families. And yes I said weekend backpacks. This is in our town where $1 Million homes are being built in another area of town.

We were very humbled to be included in such an evening. I cannot explain the spirit within that room, but it was powerful and beautiful and totally holy.

We are off, see you soon.
