Rich and Christine and H and H are here for their March Break holidays. Yesterday we went to the Nashville Zoo and were all greatly surprised.
It is an excellent zoo, that is 6 years old. It is smaller than Toronto Zoo but much more animal friendly. Most of the natural vegetation, trees, shrubs, etc. have been left and the animal habitats spread throughout.
The zoo is clean and easy to get around in. The most amazing display were the Gibbons near the front of the park. The four or 5 monkeys swung from the high trees tops. They screeched and laughed and whistled to one another. The noise was loud and very entertaining.
The meerkat display was huge and the kids and Rich stood up in the middle of it all in an enclosesd display! They looked like part of the meerkat colony.
We loved it all so much Grandpa bought a membership so we can take any who visit us here for a day at the zoo.
Have a great day.
