It is nearly 7 PM, I praise God I have survived this day. Thanks to my family. We had breakfast at 7 AM on our new patio that grandpa had poured this week. We sat and watched the birds come and feed on the new bird feeder Ya-Ya gave to me. It is filled with wild song bird seed. We are helping to feed the Blue Birds that live in our neighbourhood. While we were outside H and H and Christine phoned but we were too late to catch it and only heard their message.
We had a wonderful morning at our church, Sumner Life. They really recognize Mother's Day here more than I remember at home. But it was fine, I got through the service sans tears. After church there were messages from Jake and Jen. It was wonderful to hear their greetings.
Grandpa took us to Demo's for lunch, we hardly had to wait at all for a table and then we drove up to Rocky Top and bought a new hanging plant for the planter grandpa installed out at our mailbox. It looks so lovely.
We had our evening snack outside and continued to enjoy the day. In the quietness of our backyard we talked about other Mother's Days; grandpa would take us all to some lovely large buffet; Rich visited once early before church (I think we were still in bed that time) and Jen and Ya-Ya often supplied me with breakfast in bed. Tears came as I told grandpa today, "Tennessee is a great place to live, it would be perfect if the kids were here".
I got to have talks with Jake and W. and Miss D. and Rich. Jake's were going for a walk in Guelph and then out to Pizza Hut. Jake and Heather have been called to Niagara Falls to Glengate Alliance church there. They will move sometime this summer. If anyone would like a great family home in a lovely community check out Jake's blog at: www.birchbarq.blogspot.com
He can also give you recommend of a powerful and passionate church in Erin.
Happy Mother's Day to you. Thanks again for all who write and read this blog. God's richest blessings to you this day and the next.
