Heading Home

Our holidays for 2007 are almost over, we are heading home tomorrow. We have had a wonderful time - being with kids and grandkids and Aunt Connie and Uncle Dave.

Lots of news, Rich has resigned from The Meeting House and he and Christine and H and H will be moving to Orillia area where Rich will be helping a church there with multi-sites. He has had over 5 wonderful years with Bruxy and the staff at The Meeting House but he is feeling led to help this newer work that has been started in Orillia. Rich and Christine are selling their home in Hamilton and are in the process of finding their new home in Orillia. It is wonderful that they already have some longtime friends who have also moved to that area.

We stayed a couple of nights with Rich's. Had the opportunity to spend time with H and H and see them at their swimming lessons. They have made great progress. We all went to Hutch's on the Beach for dinner one night.

Jake and Heather continue to search for a home in Niagara. They are very near to closing a deal there. Please pray into this move and for the sale of their house here in Erin. We had the wonderful opportunity today to return to Erin to babysit The Cousins, pick them up from soccer, etc and stay overnight to help Jake and Heather to stay in Niagara until a new home is found.

We had a wonderful visit with Aunt Connie and Uncle Dave at Kettlepoint. We attended Miss Saigon at the little theatre in Grand Bend; kind of risque in parts but beautiful music, especially the duets. Then we went for dinner at The Old School House. We also attended their church for Wednesday night Prayer meeting. Their pastor is an excellent Bible teacher and we could tell that the Libby's are well loved and cared for there.

Tonight we took The Cousins to Pizza Hut and then to see Ratatouille. We had a good visit. Tomorrow we take them to their soccer camp and to a day camp for Miss D then head home. Stopping in to see dear Erna on our way.

This week began with us taking Ya-Ya into camp, bitter sweet time for us all. We are encouraging her to come back next year for the LIT leadership training for a month or so. She is growing up! Remember the first year we took her there and all she did was catch grasshoppers instead of joining in with the rest. She has really grown from that.

We are finding our way being grandparents from a distance. The kids graciously let us interrupt their lives like this. My heart still longs to be more available but I am learning slowly to not look back to press hard into what God wants and plans for my life. I feel our little family is changing once again with these big moves, another adjustment, but I must take one day at a time and one visit at a time.

Thanks again dear family. Love you all forever

as always we loved spending time with y'all! It's a highlight for the kids when we get to spend a couple days together. I always enjoy it because it's so much easier to bug Mom in person rather than over the phone or by email.

Thanks for taking all the effort to come this way! We're looking forward to our trip down this fall!
