Lovely Night for a Wedding

We just got back from our first Southern wedding. It was held this evening in the First Methodist Church here in Gallatin. Beautiful old church. Candles were every where. After the service the streets in town square were lined with candles that led us all to the reception on the other side of the square. Very cool! The evening was pretty casual, no speeches, no head table, etc. The buffet tables were scattered throughout the hall: one pasta; one fish; one pork(?). The bridesmaids were dressed in dark brown taffeta with huge pink sashes that fell just below their waists. It was great to be included in such a special evening!

Yesterday The Bison won their 6th straight game 38 to 6! Wow what a team, hard to believe. Today Ya-Ya is at another band competition and we are waiting for her to call to hear how they did. In the preliminaires this afternoon one of our clarinets screeched and one of the clarinetists (?) fell during the routine. I thought, this is it, but they have made it into the finals! They have to place in this competition to have any chance of moving into the State finals in November.

Have a wonderful day of worship tomorrow.
